These Robot Vacuums Are Cheaper Than They Were on Prime Day
My stand on Roombas is not a secret: iRobots are overpriced products that have been running on their brand name for too long. They've been complacent for many years, with other brands innovating fast and bringing cheaper products to the market. Two of those brands are Yeedi and Roborock, which have been making impressive machines over the years. Right now, three of these robot vacuums are hitting their lowest price ever, according to price-tracking tools. Here is a breakdown of each one.
The Roborock Q8 Max+ is $460
The Roborock Q8 Max+ is $459.99 (originally $819.99), the lowest price it has ever been after a 44% discount. This robot vacuum has a lot of high-end features for a surprisingly low price (comparatively speaking). It will avoid obstacles in the way with laser navigation and has a self-emptying bin (although it uses a bag, so you will have to keep buying those). The LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) navigation system will map your home to set up custom cleaning zones. The suction power is 5,500 Pa, which is okay for its price, and will run for up to 240 minutes.
The Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus is $640
The Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus is $639.99 (originally $1,099) after applying the $310 on-page coupon on Amazon. This robovac has over twice the suction power of the Q8 Max+, with an impressive 11,800 Pa of suction—and I can say from experience, it is worth the extra money if you want the power. It also has LiDAR navigation and TruMapping 2.0 technology which lets you map multi-level homes (but it can't go up or down stairs by itself) at an impressive speed of about 330 feet in six minutes. The mopping feature is solid, using self-cleaning and hot-water mop washing to sanitize your floors and itself. This machine will run for 290 minutes per charge.
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is $900
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is $899.99 (originally $1,599.99) after using the $500 on-page coupon on Amazon. This is one of the best robovacs from Roborock, but it's worth it, according to Amanda Blum's review. It's not as powerful as the Yeedi, with 6,000 Pa, but it's enough for most people. The best quality this rabovac has is independence, with very minimal hands-on maintenance. It has a lot of the same features as the Yeedi and Q8 Max+, including self-cleaning, washing, emptying, refilling, and drying. You can expect about 180 minutes from this machine.
