‘Human remains and bones’ discovered in bushes as cops launch urgent probe
‘HUMAN remains and bones’ have been found near bushes in London as cops launch a probe.
The Metropolitan Police responded to concerned calls from Sewell Road, in Thamesmead, south-east London, after the grim discovery Wednesday afternoon.
Suspected human remains and bones were found[/caption] Police were called to Sewell Road in Thamesmead yesterday afternoon[/caption]Officers arrived at around 12.40pm to find the “suspected” humans remains.
A cordon was put in place while forensic teams investigate the “remains”.
The Met Police is yet to confirm if they are human and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police were called at 12:36hrs on Wednesday, 6 November to reports of suspected human remains/bones at Sewell Road, Thamesmead.
“A cordon has been put in place while forensic officers examine the item and establish its origins.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
