IIT Guwahati and Assam government launch symposium to drive indigenous healthcare innovation in northeast India

IIT Guwahati and the Assam Government joined forces to launch the Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute (AAHII), aiming to bolster India's healthcare self-reliance. The initiative, inaugurated through a symposium, will feature a state-of-the-art campus with a super-specialty hospital and research labs, fostering indigenous medical technology development to reduce import dependency and enhance healthcare accessibility.
