APD: Man in custody after escaping holding cell
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A man escaped from a holding cell early Friday morning, Albany Police confirmed. Caleb Dejong, 19, of Waterford, was taken into custody again around 4 a.m.
Albany Police said Dejong was in custody when he escaped the cell around 2:50 a.m. Dejong was previously charged with third-degree grand larceny and awaiting arraignment.
He was taken into custody again, near Stanwix Street and Delaware Avenue. Police say they have conducted an internal administrative investigation into the escape.
