James Anderson shares his thoughts on putting his name in the IPL 2025 mega auctions
England legendary pacer James Anderson is hoping to be taken in one of the ten franchises in the mega auctions of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). Anderson played his last T20I in 2009, but he feels he has a lot of cricket left in him. He also gave the hit of being the part of IPL as a franchise bowling coach if being a player is not possible for him.
“The whole point of going in the auction, I think, I want to play cricket again. Whether I get picked up or not is a different matter. There’s definitely a feeling inside of me that I’ve got more to offer, in some shape or form. So, however long down the line that might be, in whatever capacity that might be I’m not sure yet,” Anderson told Sky Sports.
“But I’m really keen to play. I feel really fit, I’ve been bowling still, ticking over, so I feel like I’m in a good place and I’d love to have an opportunity to play somewhere,” he added.
During this interaction, Anderson was also asked if he had been approached by any of the IPL franchise, to which he replied that he has not been approached yet, but he is going to see what happens.
“Nothing yet. We’ll just have to wait and see, keep my fingers crossed and see what happens,”he said.
