Brit ‘shot’ after gunman opens fire at crowd outside French nightclub as cops launch manhunt for shooter on the run
TWO people, including a Brit man, were injured after a gunfire broke out outside a nightclub in France.
The shooter reportedly opened fire on the crowd with a hunting rifle in Montaudran, a district of Toulouse.
One of the injured is reportedly a British man, who was reportedly hit in the chest by buckshot, French outlet La Depeche reports.
The other man was reportedly injured in the back, the French Outlet said.
They have both been rushed to a nearby hospital.
It is understood the shooting broke out on Sunday morning in the carpark of the Urban Lab nightclub, shortly before 6am local time.
A security guard said he heard three shots but did not notice anything unusual after making a round at the site, reports La Depeche.
He went on to call the police, who found no bullets or traces of blood at the scene.
Cops are now on the hunt to find the shooter and have opened a probe into the shooting, according to Actu Toulouse.
Officers have returned to the nightclub on Sunday to collect evidence and talk to any potential witnesses, La Depeche reports.
A police commissioner told Actu Toulouse: “Several detonations have been reported, probably shotgun fire , but for the moment, we have little information on these events.”
