I gave my drab blue bedroom a mega makeover with B&M, Dunelm and Ikea bargains – it looks like a ‘luxurious hotel’ now
A MAN has revealed that he gave his drab blue bedroom a mega makeover whilst on a budget.
DIY fan Hari Harris explained that he used cheap buys from B&M, Dunelm and Ikea to spruce up his space.
Not only is his tonal bedroom super on trend and chic, but people have even gone as far to say it’s so posh it now looks like a ‘luxurious boutique hotel’.
Posting on social media, the DIY enthusiast shared a close-up look at his bedroom before and after its total transformation.
Writing on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Hari revealed all on his bedroom makeover.
What was once a plain space, with bright blue walls and boring flooring, has since been given a fresh new feel, without breaking the bank.
Now, Hari’s bedroom is super stylish – complete with a four poster bed, a panelled wall design and gorgeous accessories.
Thrilled with his finished DIY job, Hari beamed: “Absolutely loving the tonal vibes at the moment.”
He then confirmed that he used Dulux paint in the shade Gentle Fawn and Soft Truffle to add depth to his room.
Not only this, but Hari got his bed from Crazy Bed Prices and the wood panels for his feature wall from Woodveneerhub.
To decorate the space, Hari nabbed prints from the Poster Store and also brightened up the room with lights from Dunelm.
He got his bedside tables from Ufurnish and instead of forking out for an expensive mirror, used an old sliding wardrobe door.
Hari also revealed that to make the space feel warm and cosy, he got a rug and plant from B&M.
To cut costs, he nabbed bargain shelves from Ikea and also got hanging mirrors from Home Bargains on the cheap.
