PlayStation to discontinue free accessory and you have just two weeks to grab yours

PLAYSTATION has announced that it will discontinue giving away a free PS5 accessory in two weeks time.

The accessory is currently free for owners of the original PS VR, and allows you to use the headset with the PS5.

PS VR was developed for the PlayStation 4, but it is compatible with the PS5.

However, you need your PS4 camera attached to your PS5 in order to get the system to work.

There is no way to attach the camera without an adapter, which is why PlayStation has been handing them out for free.

However, the company has said it will be discontinuing its free adapter service starting from Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

It also says that orders will continue “while supplies last” so it may be possible to grab one after this date.

However, you are only guaranteed to be able to grab one until November 26.

If you want to claim one for yourself, you will need the serial number from your PS VR headset in order to apply for one.

PlayStation only gives out adapters to those who prove they have a PS VR headset, in order to avoid scalping of the product.

You can apply for your adapter either via the PlayStation website, or by calling PlayStation Support.

PlayStation is one of the best console companies for providing backwards compatibility support for its players.

While the PS VR didn’t have a large number of players, it’s good that PlayStation is continuing support for them through to the next generation of console.

If you have a PS VR headset, even if you don’t have a PS5, it’s worth picking up an adapter while you can.

You might pick up a PS5 at a later date, so you should grab it while you still can.
