Ben, 51, was first named as a presenter on the BBC One show Animal Park in 2001.

It was one of his first jobs in the world of television as he was introduced on-screen alongside longtime host Kate Humble, 55.

The pair have remained close for decades and they recently reunited for a beaming selfie which the explorer posted on his Instagram grid page.

They both smiled for the cameras in front of a scenic nature background as they filmed scenes together.

He captioned the snap: “I’m back at Longleat with my bestie @kmhumble.

“We’ve been working together for nearly 25 years now. She is both a dear friend and a great work mate.

“Kate was the first presenter I ever worked with. She taught me the art of being a presenter.

“Not just how to be a presenter but how to behave as a presenter.”

He then reminisced on their time together as he divulged a personal lesson in ‘humility’ that she personally taught him.

Ben continued: “On my very first day filming with Kate at Longleat, before the cameras were even rolling, she handed me a broom and told me to get to work helping the keepers mucking out the animal stables.

“It was a valuable lesson in humility. A presenter is no more important than anyone else…

He added: “We are one cog in a production of many. You often read about the ego of the few, but most of us just love what we do and keep our feet firmly planted in our muddy wellies.

“Humble taught me not to mumble, or stumble nor bumble, not to grumble and to always stay humble.”

Clearly touched by his words, she replied in the comments section: “And we’re always ready to rumble… love you Fogle!”
