I married a prisoner & live with a cardboard cutout of him – he still pays for EVERYTHING, trolls say I’m a gold-digger

In her viral video, the TikTok user (@jadalous) recounted how she met Chris through a prisoner pen pal program.

“So I was a f**king idiot and decided to go on prisoninmates.com and that’s when I spotted this hottie,” the Florida native explained.

“A few months later, we started talking on the phone and messaging each other.

“Then I decided to finally go meet him, we really fell for each other and seven months later, we decided ‘let’s just get f**king married.'”

Jade revealed that Chris proposed to her just two months after her first letter.

He even bought a house close in to the prison so I could be closer to him.

The pair have now been together for almost seven years, however it may be longer before they can live under the same roof.

Chris, who was sentenced to 31 years for burglary and identity theft charges, is currently up for parole.

In the meantime, Jade has come up with some creative solutions to cope with his absence.

While she has a small cushion showing Chris’ picture, it’s her life-size cardboard cutout that went viral online.

She explained that her husband was the one who came up with the idea to help with her loneliness.

Jade revealed that she even had a friend photoshop a Hawaiian shirt on the cutout, explaining that she wanted pictures without Chris in his inmate uniform.

The couple joke that they will burn the cutout together after Chris’ release date.

As well as buying her a house and a cutout of himself, Chris also traded in Jade’s car for a Chevy 2500, which retails for approximately £50,000.

People have accused Jade of being a gold-digger after she revealed that her husband pays for everything.

She addressed people’s misconceptions about their relationship in a TikTok video.

“People would say Chris is using me if I was the one putting money on his books but if my husband in prison has the means to support me, I am using him?” she pointed out.

“Hate to break it to you but Chris comes with a lot of baggage and no amount of money could make me stay, if I didn’t love him.”

However, Jade explained that she wouldn’t let any online haters get to her.

“If you can get through a prison sentence and a bunch of haters praying for the downfall of your relationship, you can make it through anything,” she said.
