European Union contributed 28.6 bn in climate finance last year

BRUSSELS, 5th November, 2024 (WAM) - In 2023, the European Union and its 27 member states contributed 28.6 billion in climate finance from public sources and mobilised an additional amount of 7.2 billion of private finance to support developing countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
