Metallica is extending their hit M72 World Tour through 2025, which includes exciting two-night shows and one-night-only performances in various cities across North America and Oceania. Inventory is going quickly as the heavy metal band prepares for its third year of the M72 World Tour, but there are a few strategies for buying Metallica tickets for their 2025 concerts.
The Grammy-winning band originally kicked off the M72 World Tour in April 2023, celebrating the release of their album “72 Seasons.” However, Metallica decided to do something new and different with this tour, as they implemented a “No Repeat Weekend” label for their two-night stops in one city. While the group still has various one-night-only gigs on their tour schedule, they ensured that each night will have a completely different setlist and opening act when they're playing two nights in a city. When Metallica heads on the next leg of the M72 World Tour in 2025, the “No Repeat Weekend” rule will still be in effect.
As they prepared to conclude the second year of the celebrated concert series on September 29, 2024, Metallica announced that they would continue the M72 World Tour for 27 more shows between April and November 2025. The “Master of Puppets” group is currently set to perform 21 concerts across North America starting on April 12, 2025, in Las Vegas, and six shows will follow in Australia and New Zealand in November 2025.

Metallica’s 2025 tour begins with the North American leg on April 12, 2025, in Las Vegas. Another 20 concerts across 13 cities will follow this one-night show, only five of which are slated for two-night “No Repeat Weekend” events. The North American leg concludes on June 29, 2025, in Denver after back-to-back nights. Metallica then heads to Australia on November 1 for five shows, with the 2025 M72 World Tour scheduled to end on November 19 in Auckland, New Zealand.

How to buy tickets for Metallica’s 2025 concert tour
You can buy standard original tickets for most Metallia 2025 concert dates on Ticketmaster. However, standard original tickets for the band’s 2025 shows that are part of music festivals, such as their Las Vegas Sick New World and Columbus Sonic Temple concerts, can be purchased directly through the event’s website.
Tickets to see Metallica for their M72 World Tour in 2025 are also available to be purchased through verified resale ticket vendors such as StubHub and Vivid Seats. For concert dates with limited original ticket inventory, you may find better luck with seating variety and availability on these resale sites. However, StubHub and Vivid Seats are not selling tickets for Metallica’s 2025 Australia and New Zealand shows.
How much are Metallica tickets?
The prices for Metallica tickets vary depending on the date, location, and demand for each show. On Ticketmaster, the lowest prices for single-day standard original tickets to Metallica’s 2025 M72 World Tour start at $55 for the band’s Atlanta, GA concert on June 3. Meanwhile, the least expensive two-day passes for the M72 World Tour begin at $90 for Metallica’s Philadelphia, PA, concerts on May 23 and 25, 2025.
It’s important to note that certain shows in Metallica’s upcoming tour schedule have already been sold out of standard original tickets on Ticketmaster, such as the band’s Toronto, Ontario “No Repeat Weekend” concerts. Additionally, resale tickets are generally comparable to or less expensive than the standard original tickets still available for the 2025 M72 World Tour dates.
On StubHub, the cheapest resale tickets for Metallica’s 2025 concerts range from $47 for the band’s Charlotte, NC show on May 31 to $444 for their Las Vegas, NV gig on April 12. But, the latter’s steeper price can be explained by the performance being part of a larger music festival.
