Olivia Munn’s Son Malcolm Confuses Another A-List Actress for Her in the Cutest Video: ‘I Know This Is Mommy’

Olivia Munn just received a huge honor: she was named as one of TIME’s 2024 Inspiring Women Changemakers for a Better World, a spot she shares with other legends like Taylor Swift, Serena Williams, Selena Gomez, and Halle Berry among others. But even if she wasn’t recognized for this prestigious honor, her 2-year-old son Malcolm would have been just as excited. He saw the magazine cover and was completely convinced that his mom was actually another A-list actress, and the video is adorable.

The Hit-Monkey star shared a photo of the TIME cover and a picture of the article inside — where she was recognized for her work in raising breast cancer awareness after being diagnosed herself. She captioned it, “Incredibly honored, thank you @time ❤️ The test that saved my life, The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Test, is available to everyone- find it in my bio. It’s free and takes just minutes. If your score is 20% or higher, talk to your doctor and insist on more testing.”

What a huge honor, right? So of course, she wanted to share the exciting news with her son Malcolm, who she shares with fiancé John Mulaney. Slide to the end of her post to see a video of Munn showing the magazine to Malcolm, who sat on her lap flipping through the pages. “I know this is Mommy,” Malcolm confidently says, while pointing to the picture of Florence Pugh that’s located right next to her picture.

“That’s Mommy?” the Newsroom actress asked.

“This is Mommy,” he confirmed, still pointing to the picture of the We Live in Time actress. “Right here.”

“Why did you call this Mommy?” Malcolm continued, pointing to the actual picture of Munn.

“Well, I thought that was Mommy, but you’re right. That one’s Mommy,” she answered, pointing to Pugh. Man, toddlers are great, aren’t they?

Munn reshared the video on her Instagram story, adding in a caption, “I often get confused for Florence Pugh.” (Hey, at least it’s a compliment! You never know what kind of honest and hurtful truths will come out of toddler’s mouths.)

In the comments, people were a mix of support and jokey. Mulaney wrote, “Damn right. We’re so proud of you,” and Ali Wong wrote, “????????????.” Others quipped things like, “Florence, your family is lovely ????❤️” and “Loved you in Midsommar ❤️❤️❤️”

“Agree @time ????! Thank you for your generosity, giving so much through such a challenging journey. #notinvain and don’t worry Malcolm, they are all so gorgeous it’s easy to mix up! ????❤️” someone else wrote.

In the interview with TIME, Munn shared how she was diagnosed with cancer after scoring high on the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool and getting an MRI. Mammograms had missed tumors that turned out to be cancerous, and Munn was able to get treated with hormone-based treatments and surgeries, including a double mastectomy. Since her work spreading awareness, the National Cancer Institute confirmed that there has been a surge in visits to the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool site.

“Seeing the conversation around this pick up gave me so much peace,” Munn told TIME. “I wanted to help as many people as possible prevent their cancer from going to the next level.” She added, “Right now I’m doing good. I’m exhausted at times, but I get to be Malcolm’s mom every day. The fact that I’m here — my spirits are high, and I remain extremely grateful.”

Munn is also mom to newborn daughter Méi June, who was born via surrogate after Munn’s fight with breast cancer. The X-Men: Apocalypse star shared a picture of her baby girl last month, reflecting on how much her life has changed over the last year. “This time last year I was recovering from my fourth surgery and now I’m hanging with my baby girl. ????????,” she wrote, once again encouraging people to take the test.

“To everyone who is battling or has battled cancer, in whatever form, I send you all my love.
????????????” she added.
