Molly-Mae Hague shares the £3 beauty buy she swears by despite always carrying a £90 HAIRBRUSH in her ‘everyday’ £4K bag

MOLLY-MAE Hague has revealed that not everything inside the £4,000 handbag she carries daily is expensive.

The Love Island star turned businesswoman, 25, gushed about a budget-friendly item that is handy for her beauty routine and while out with her daughter Bambi.

Molly, who shares one-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy Fury, carries a Bottega Veneta leather tote “every day” which costs £3,670 from Net-a-Porter.

She told British Vogue that a large bag is crucial for mums but confessed it can be difficult to find what she’s looking for.

The influencer was candid about the items she keeps with her and revealed the “biggest” is a product that costs just £3.

“Wipes, a mum essential,” she said.

“Bit of a boring one but these are great for when you have a baby but also who doesn’t need a set of wipes?

“These are great for taking your makeup off. They are literally 90 per cent water.”

Molly held up WaterWipes Original Baby Wipes which cost £3 at Asda.

According to the manufacturer, they are designed to “gently” clean and protect sensitive skin.

They are suitable for newborn and premature skin while also having been “highly recommended” by midwives and other healthcare professionals.

Customers have described them as “perfect for multiple uses” and a “very good” alternative to regular face wipes.

Molly revealed several other beauty essentials in her handbag including hair bobbles, claw clips, and perfume.

However, the “bougiest” item was a hairbrush by La Bonne Brosse.

“I do believe these hairbrushes even for a mini one is maybe £90 odd which I think is absolutely astronomical for a hairbrush,” she said.

“But this was a gift and very sweetly it’s engraved with the name of my new brand Maebe.”

Molly’s fashion brand sold out in just 24 minutes when it was launched in September.

The collection included knitwear, blazers, and bottoms.

A Molly-Mae fan's opinion on the Maebe range, and its prices

EVER since Molly-Mae Hague, 25, walked into the Love Island villa back in 2019, I’ve always been a mega fan.

After hearing the news that she was coming out with a fashion brand, of course I was excited.

But as much as I hate to admit it, I’m disappointed.

I understand that she’s launched Maebe as a more high class brand. I know it’s not going to be Shein quality.

But with prices varying from £35 to £140, I’m definitely not impressed.

Maebe’s “ultimate blazer” is priced at an eye-watering £140, whilst a very simple, plain white tee is a whopping £35.

Not only this, but the “contour popper top” is £50, and a seemingly boring white shirt will set you back a whopping £65.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, £90 for a pair of jeans? I understand paying £50 for a pair of good quality denims, but £90?!

That’s incredibly steep considering you can get Levi’s, a well-established brand that’s been going for donkey years, for just a tenner more.

So, will I be buying anything from Maebe? The only thing I can say to that is Maebe (definitely) not.

Other items in Molly’s handbag included floss, polaroids, and chewing gum.

She raved about the Tatcha Kissu lip mask which is available from Sephora for £27.

“I don’t really carry a lot of beauty products because usually day to day I don’t wear a lot of makeup,” she said.

“But I do carry lip products. I can’t leave the house without a lip balm because I get the driest lips ever.

“You will just see chunks of skin falling off.”

Molly said she would put her daughter Bambi in her handbag to carry with her everywhere she goes if it was possible.

She lets Bambi go wild in her handbag as a distraction when she’s busy.

“She loves opening things like this,” Molly said referring to the lip mask.

“If I left her loose with something like this, you just know it’s going to be everywhere and a nightmare to clean off, but then that’s why you carry trusty wet wipes.”
