Lateysha Grace reveals she’s having ‘miracle’ third baby after almost dying from ectopic pregnancy
LATEYSHA Grace has revealed she’s pregnant with her ‘miracle’ third baby after nearly dying from an ectopic pregnancy.
The former Big Brother star is expecting the new bundle of joy with her mystery fiance.
Announcing the news, Lateysha revealed she suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year[/caption]Lateysha – who is already a mum to Winter, nine, and two-year-old Layke – is seven months pregnant.
It comes after the expectant mum ‘almost died’ after being incorrectly told she had miscarried, leading to an ectopic pregnancy in October 2023.
Announcing her pregnancy, Lateysha told MailOnline: “Funny enough, we weren’t trying [for a baby]. We wanted a baby, but we weren’t actively trying for it. And so it was an absolute shock to us when obviously we found that we were pregnant.
“I’ve been very worried, I think this is why I’ve kept it quiet for so long. Like when I found out I was pregnant, obviously I was really happy, but it’s it’s such a strange feeling.
“Like I still feel sadness for the baby that I lost, if that makes sense. I do feel so lucky and blessed that I’ve been given an opportunity to carry again. But yeah, it’s it’s it’s a strange one. It’s a very strange. I’m very nervous, very on edge and thinking.”
Lateysha’s ectopic pregnancy saw the star rushed to hospital and straight into emergency surgery due to internal bleading.
Beforehand she was suffering from back ache, shoulder pain and even blood clots in the weeks prior, having been told she was just experiencing a miscarriage.
The 31-year-old explained: “At the time I was working on Dating Naked at MTV, I was going into the office. Obviously I was a bit upset. But like, I just felt fine in myself.
“And then I remember I started having back ache by my shoulder, like shoulder tip pain. I actually came on my period, but I don’t think looking back that it was my period, that’s clearly bleeding.
“Then I remember one day I woke up, I think I was about three or maybe four months pregnant, and just collapsed on the bathroom floor.
“I was like something doesn’t feel right. I will never forget the feeling, it was the worst feeling in the world. I just thought that like I’m dying. Like I’m actually dying. It does make me emotional when I think about it.”
Lateysha began her career at just 19 years old where she declared that she was the “welsh Beyonce” after becoming the breakout star of raucous TV show The Valleys.
She soon saw her fame skyrocket as she released her own autobiography, Valleywood, and released a top-selling clothing range.
After her stint on civilian Big Brother in 2016, the busy mum landed her very own MTV series called Million Dollar Baby.
What is an ectopic pregnancy?
The NHS provides this definition of an ectopic pregnancy:
An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes.
The fallopian tubes are the tubes connecting the ovaries to the womb. If an egg gets stuck in them, it won’t develop into a baby and your health may be at risk if the pregnancy continues.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to save the pregnancy. It usually has to be removed using medicine or an operation.
In the UK, around 1 in every 90 pregnancies is ectopic. This is around 11,000 pregnancies a year.
