Angelina Jolie's Lookalike Son Joins Her in Rare Red Carpet Appearance
Angelina Jolie made a rare public appearance with her 16-year-old son Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt at the Governors Awards award on Sunday, an annual award ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It marked the teen's first red carpet appearance in three years; and now, nearly grown, Jolie-Pitt looked the spitting image of his famous mom.
Jolie-Pitt also eclipsed the 49-year-old actress in height while standing next to one another on the red carpet. He appeared dapper in a black-and-white suit paired with a black bowtie, while Jolie opted for a gold sleeveless dress, accessorized with a collar-style diamond necklace and large, dangling diamond earrings.
Jolie-Pitt is among the youngest of the actress's brood, twin sister to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, also 16, and younger brother to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, 18, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 19, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, 20, and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, 23. Shiloh is the only of the six siblings who have dropped their father Brad Pitt's surname, after Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple's separation followed a 2016 incident in which Pitt allegedly physically and verbally abused his then-wife and their children on a plane. Jolie and Pitt have since been embroiled in a years-long legal battle over custody of their shared children—as well as ownership of their French winery, Château Miraval—though Knox and Vivienne remain the only minors in the family.
The last time Knox made a red carpet appearance was at the London premiere of Marvel's Eternals in October 2021, alongside his mother, who starred in the film, and his five siblings.
