Off the Beaten Path: Ruby's Nimble Thimble & Marketplace

GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) - At 81 Main Street in Greenwich, you’ll find a destination for sewing, tailoring, crafting needs and more under one roof. Terry Mumby opened Ruby’s Nimble Thimble more than a decade ago.

The store’s namesake, Mumby's mother Ruby, hangs on the wall. Inside her shop, she offers fabric, yarn, crafting supplies and all your sewing needs. She says alterations keep her busy.

Next door to the crafting paradise is Ruby’s Marketplace. Six vendors sell their goods in the store, offering a variety of different country décor, gifts and artisan-made items.

The store gets busy around the holiday season. They say you never know what you’ll find, but they promise you’ll find something for someone.
