New hotel, restaurant sets opening at ex-Longfellows site

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Brookmere Saratoga is now in the final stages of construction at the former Longfellows Hotel & Restaurant site in Saratoga Springs. The hotel, Regent Restaurant & Bar, and Arbor Spa are expected to open in mid-December.

According to a press person for Brookmere, the hotel is currently accepting bookings from January 1 to October 31, 2025. You can make a reservation on the Brookmere Saratoga website.

The hotel includes the Regent Restaurant & Bar and Arbor Spa, which are both open to guests, as well as the public. "Arbor Spa is a wellness sanctuary inspired by the natural beauty of Saratoga Springs and its rich healing heritage," said the Brookmere press person. The spa will offer several options for massage and body treatments.

The Regent Restaurant & Bar will only offer dinner service through the end of December. In the New Year, the restaurant will extend its hours to be open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (and 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).

"Chef Christopher Smith will bring a regional twist to classic French cuisine, blending a French bistro ambiance with fine dining," said the Brookmere press person. "The restaurant will also feature a robust cocktail program to complement the exceptional food offerings."

In November 2022, Longfellows announced the property had been sold to a group of investors and was closing in January 2023. Longfellows Restaurant first opened in May 1997. In 1998, the Longfellows Hotel was built, which added 18 rooms to the existing building. In 2003, another building was built with 32 rooms and a conference center.

Brookmere Saratoga is managed by Hay Creek Hotels. The property is located at 500 Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
