Morgan City man arrested, accused of rape and production of porn involving juveniles

MORGAN CITY, La. (KLFY) -- A Morgan City man was taken into custody this month in connection with rape and sex crimes against juveniles, according to Attorney General Murrill's Office.

In a news release, Murill's office announced that the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) arrested 49-year-old Carrol Ray Clark as a result of an investigation with the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Clark was arrested on Nov. 6 and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on 21 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, one count of first-degree rape, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, and three counts of production of pornography involving juveniles.

Authorities said Clark was re-booked the following day on 10 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.

He was re-booked again on Nov. 18, on one count of first-degree rape, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, and three counts of production of pornography involving juveniles, authorities said.

“As a mom, every one of these stories is both heartbreaking and infuriating. Thanks to my LBI agents and all our law enforcement partners, this monster is off the streets and behind bars,” Murrill said in the news release.

No other details of the investigation were provided in the news release.

The investigation remains ongoing.
