Another scheduled power outage Thursday for Jeff Davis Parish
JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) -- Those affected by today's planned power outage in Jeff Davis Parish will get to do it all over again on Thursday.
The Jeff Davis Electric Co-op has announced another scheduled outage at the Compton Substation on Thursday, starting at 1 p.m. The outage is expected to last two hours.
Officials said the outage is required for JDEC's transmission service provider, Entergy, to repair their transmission equipment.
Co-op members north of Jennings, in Hathaway, Pine Island and Welsh, will be affected by this outage, officials said.
