Rapper NBA YoungBoy pleads guilty in Utah prescription drug fraud ring

A Louisiana-based rapper pleaded guilty Monday to his role in a large-scale prescription drug fraud ring that operated out of his multimillion-dollar Utah home. KTVX-TV reports rapper NBA YoungBoy walked into a courtroom in Logan, Utah, with his head hung low as he entered the plea. His real name is Kentrell Gaulden and he is from Baton Rouge. The 25-year-old artist was originally charged in state court with 46 charges. He pleaded guilty Monday to two counts each of third-degree felony identity fraud and forgery and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct. Gaulden pleaded “no contest” to the remaining charges that were reduced to misdemeanors. He's ordered to pay a $25,000 fine.
