Drugs, guns, cash
seized during bust

Marin County detectives arrested two suspects in an investigation into alleged drug sales.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in San Rafael and seized more than 1,600 Xanax pills, nearly an ounce of suspected cocaine, 400 doses of suspected LSD, more than an ounce of MDMA, 2 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and nearly an ounce of the anaesthetic ketamine, the sheriff’s department reported Saturday. Detectives also seized $7,000 in cash and two 9mm handguns that were unregistered.

James Holden Gardner, 18, and Miguel Sanchez Ceja, whose age was unavailable Monday, were booked into the Marin County Jail and released on bail. They could not be reached for comment.

The investigation was conducted by the Marin County Specialized Investigative Unit, which includes members of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, the Novato Police Department, the San Rafael Police Department, the Central Marin Police Authority, the California Highway Patrol and the Marin County Probation Department.

Store to expand at
Terra Linda gas site

A city zoning administrator has approved a plan to expand the market at the Union 76 gas station at 921 Del Presidio Blvd. in Terra Linda.

The management wants to add 906 square feet to the 235-square-foot retail space, modify the vehicle circulation and relocate parking spaces, according to a city staff report.

The zoning official held a hearing on the proposal on Nov. 6.

SAN ANSELMO

Outdoor amenities
approved for home

The Planning Commission has approved a proposal to install a 296-square-foot pergola, an outdoor kitchen and a gas fire pit at the residence at 4 Loma Robles Drive.

The commission reviewed the design and granted a conditional use permit at its meeting on Nov. 12, said Jackson Dobronyi, a town planner. The town received no objections from neighbors of the hillside property.

MILL VALLEY

Permit granted for
fitness training site

The Planning Commission has approved a permit for a 687-square-foot exercise studio at the Eggers Plaza complex at 401 Miller Ave.

The business will involve training sessions from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, according to a staff report by Lorraine Weiss, a consulting planner. Some sessions will be held from 7 a.m. to noon on weekends.

The commission held a hearing on the application on Nov. 12.
