Manipur govt relieves police officer of duties after probe into Jiribam firing incident

The Manipur government removed senior police officer Nectar Sanjenbam from duty. This follows an investigation into a firing incident in Jiribam. One person died and another was injured in the incident. A two-member committee will investigate the cause of the firing. The committee will determine if there was any wrongdoing. They will submit their findings within 30 days.
