It’s been gradual and you can stay with the abolition of the maximum wage. Which was needed but implemented cack-handedly. Then other things such as abolishing the away team’s gate share, reducing the top flight, the PL, and the Champjons League all made things worse, in effect taxing the poor to give to the rich.

Indeed it got so bad that even the PL needed to take action. And as soon as it did the literal richest clubbing the world cried foul - and as we know from Footballleaks they prefer to bankrupt everyone trying to make the game fair rather than play fair.
