Toll increase approved for NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway: Here's how much
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A toll increase was approved on Tuesday for the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s next budget includes a 3% toll increase.
The average toll on the New Jersey Turnpike will increase by 16 cents, according to a New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesperson.
Commuters who use the New Jersey Turnpike to travel back and forth from work every day will pay an extra 32 cents a day, amounting to an additional $80 for the year.
The toll at most Garden State Parkway barrier plazas will increase by 8 cents. The toll at most of the tolled entrance and exit ramps on the Garden State Parkway will increase by 3 cents, according to the spokesperson.
The toll increases will take effect on Jan. 1, 2025, NJ.com reported.
