M&S shoppers can’t believe their eyes at ‘magic’ festive liqueur that lights up with one touch of the bottle
M&S has bought back an iconic Christmas drink – with a brand new twist.
The festive season is well and truly upon us, with the Mince Pie Liqueur taking Christmas by storm.

The Mine Pie liqueur will feature a Christmas tree which will light up on the front when you touch either side of the bottle.
Shoppers have gone wild on social media for this fabulously festive liqueur, with over 7,000 likes, comments and shares across Instagram and Facebook.
One fan commented: “Definitely on my list.”
While a second said: “Need to get this weekend!!”
While a third added: “Always pulling it out the bag M&S!!! This is so cute.”
Jenny Rea, Lead Product Developer for Spirits, Liqueurs & Cocktails at M&S, said: “Our new mince pie liqueur is a true festive showstopper, blending the classic flavours of sweet vine fruits, zesty lemon peel and warming spices.
“We know shoppers see us as the go-to destination for the original and best light-up liqueurs, however we’re especially excited for them to see this year’s unique edition which is our most innovative yet!
“No need to press any buttons – simply touch either side of the bottle to see the Christmas tree on the label instantly illuminate thanks to some very clever science.”
Alongside the new Mince Pie Liqueur, M&S have brought back its iconic Clementine Gin Liqueur Snow Globe in a stunning gift box – making it super easy to wrap.
In past years, a 70cl bottle cost £16, however now the price has gone up to £20 for each flavoured liqueur.
It comes after Aldi’s must-have snow globe gins return to shops ahead of the festive season.
The discounter’s popular glitter gins are back and they’re bound to be a hit yet again.
This year the Infusionist Shimmer Globes are available to buy in three new flavours; Blood Orange Flavour Gin Liqueur, Honey Flavour Rum Liqueur and Toffee Flavour Vodka Liqueurs, with each costing £12.99.
The globe style bottles include gold shimmer, which moves when shaken.
The Blood Orange Flavour boasts zesty, fruity notes of blood orange and a juniper dry finish.
The Honey Flavour Rum Liqueur features flavours of rich and golden honey with notes of honeycomb and a rum finish.
The Toffee Flavour Vodka Liqueur is a sweet and sticky premium vodka infused with toffee.
In a Facebook post, Aldi wrote: “Everything is better with glitter and our gloriously glittery new Infusionist Spirit Liqueur Globes are no exception. Will you be trying Honey Rum, Blood Orange or Toffee Vodka?”
One person commented: “Blood Orange one for me … just brought some honey rum liqueur back from Greece and it is delicious.”
Another person added: “Woohoo, I popped into my local store this evening and managed to get a Honey Rum and Toffee Vodka. Very happy.”
Back in 2021, the snow globe drinks were at the centre of a legal action M&S launched against Aldi, accusing the rival supermarket of selling a “copycat” version of the iconic gin.
Aldi’s snow globe gin was launched in October 2021 – and cost £6 less than the M&S version.
M&S filed papers with the High Court alleging that customers could mistake Aldi’s glitter globe gin for it’s own.
But Aldi often sells “dupes” of well-known products that look very similar other brands.
After a lengthy court case, Aldi was found guilty of infringing upon the M&S design.

How to save money on Christmas shopping
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
