Heather Rae El Moussa Reveals the Code Phrase Son Tristan Uses That ‘Melts’ Her
Heather Rae El Moussa just shared an ultra-emotional post on Instagram ahead of her son Tristan’s second birthday, and we’re not crying, you’re crying! ( … OK … maybe we’re crying a teensy bit.)
The HGTV star shared a carousel of photos and videos with her toddler — who she shares with husband Tarek El Moussa — and Tristan is just the sweetest little cuddle bug. So we weren’t at all surprised by Tristan’s code phrase that Heather Rae shared in her caption.
“Every morning, in his sweet little voice, he says, ‘Uggle mommy’ (aka snuggle mommy),” she wrote, “and it melts me.”
Us too! “Uggle mommy” every morning?! It both melts and warms our hearts while tugging on all the heartstrings.
In the photos and videos, the towheaded toddler does nothing but “uggle” with his mommy. They “uggle” in a big cozy chair while he smiles at the camera and she closes her eyes in mama bliss. They “uggle” in the bathroom while Tristan holds onto his teeny tiny toothbrush. And they “uggle” standing in the kitchen while El Moussa cradles her youngest and sways side to side.
“His soul and his heart are pure good,” she wrote. “He’s such a lover.”
” … When he hugs me, he wraps his little arms around me and doesn’t let go,” Heather Rae continued in her caption. ” … A part of me wishes I could keep him this little forever ????”
Followers — including Tristan’s dad! — couldn’t handle all the sweetness. “Boo boo bear!!!❤️❤️❤️,” Tarek commented. “He’s such a sweetheart ????????????????????,” another follower said. “You’re so wise to be soaking it up. It goes by so quickly ❤️,” yet another added.
Heather Rae is also a proud stepmom to a 14-year-old stepdaughter, Taylor, and a 9-year-old stepson, Brayden, who Tarek shares with ex Christina Hall. In September, the model shared a touching birthday tribute for “Tay.”
“You have grown up to be such a beautiful, driven, sophisticated young lady,” she wrote on Instagram. “I love watching you with Tristan and I am so lucky that I get to have you as my beautiful bonus daughter, I’ve loved every moment with you.”
In the throwback photos, Taylor “uggled” her stepmom’s growing baby bump, clearly excited for Tristan’s arrival nearly two years ago. Though Heather Rae and Tarek rarely post recent photos of Taylor (the teen wants her privacy and the couple wants to “respect her wishes”), we have to imagine there’s also an entire album of Tristan happily “uggling” with his big sis.
