19 Pakistani security personnel killed in Militant attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported on Wednesday that at least 19 Pakistani security personnel were killed in the past 24 hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to Dawn, 11 security personnel were killed in a suicide bombing at a checkpoint in the Janikhel area of Bannu. Two others were injured, and their condition is reported to be critical.

The suicide bombing, which occurred on Tuesday, November 19, was followed by an armed assault on the checkpoint by militants.

Additionally, Dawn reported that eight other security personnel were killed and three injured in a clash with militants in the Tirah area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The casualties resulted from an attack on a military post near the central Bagh Maidan area.

While the Pakistan Army has not commented on the deaths of its personnel, it did announce on Tuesday that nine militants were killed during clashes with security forces in the same region.
