Kacey Musgraves Pairs Feathered Sleeve Denim Dress With Nude Louboutin Shoe for 2024 Country Music Awards Red Carpet

Kacey Musgraves was in Nashville on Wednesday to see the status of her three Country Music Award nominations. The singer hit the red carpet for the annual event in a statement making dress from Georges Hobeika. The dress is a denim look with a sweetheart bodice. A midi-silhouette, the dress features beading throughout. It also notably features featured sleeves while the neckline is entirely exposed,

For a dress that included so many details, Musgraves and stylist Erica Cloud chose a nude shoe. In particular, she chose the Christian Louboutin Hot Chick Sling. The footwear is a slingback silhouette which has been trending all year. Louboutin’s Hot Chick Sling features a pointed toe. It also includes a wide, low-cut vamp that exposes the cleavage of the toes.

As it is a slingback, the shoe also includes a strap that wraps around the back of the ankle. As it is a Hot Chick variation, the strap features a scalloped flourish. This all sits on a heel of about four inches. The sole of the shoe is lacquered red. This has become a signature of Louboutin who was inspired by the red nail polish of a secretary.

Slingback styles have been one of this year’s leading trends. They were seen prominently at the Cannes International Film Festival in May but have been seen worn by celebrities on red carpets, to various appearances as well as on runways since then.

That week Greta Gerwig wore the Hot Chick Sling in black. Since then, Selena Gomez has worn that same version twice. She wore the glossy shoes for two different screenings of “Emilia Perez,” one in New York and one in Los Angeles. Gomez went one step further in October, wearing a red version of the shoe to a screening of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”

The 2024 CMA Awards is broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The night, which celebrates the best, brightest and most talented in country music is hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson.
