Jim Gaffigan Shares Why He Kept His 'Fat Clothes' After His Weight Loss
Jim Gaffigan is sharing more details about his weight loss journey.
Recently, the 58-year-old comedian revealed that he’s lost over 50lbs with the help of weight loss drug Mounjaro and daily exercise.
In a new interview, Jim opened up about losing weight and explained why he decided to keep his “fat clothes.”
Keep reading to find out more…“Maybe I’m a pack rat, but I’m like, ‘I can’t get rid of that,’” Jim told Men’s Health of his “fat clothes.”
“And then there is something about the haunting,” Jim continued. “They’re like, ‘You’re going to wear me again.’”
Also in the interview, Jim shared why believes that weight loss drugs are a game-changer.
“Most of our lives we’ve been told, ‘Just control your appetite. Just stop being a f-king pig,’” Jim explained. “The reality is, we can’t. Maybe our brains are a little wonky or whatever. I think that in some ways, the appetite suppressants are this justification for people who have compulsive eating, that they’re not weak—that some of it can be fixed.”
Jim went on to say that gardening has helped him keep the weight off.
“Growing vegetables makes you more interested in consuming those vegetables, which makes you healthier, which makes you kind of look at what you’re consuming, which makes fast food look like the crap that it is,” Jim said, adding that yard work helps him hit his daily fitness goals.
“I’m not saying that I’m doing the work of a farmer, but…you can do some work out there,” Jim noted.
