'Goal is getting on TV': Ex-aide to GOP lawmaker Nancy Mace takes shots at former boss

GOP lawmaker Nancy Mace has been targeting a trans co-worker with congressional "bathroom bills," but Mace is just trying to get attention, according to her former communications director.

Comms hill alum Natalie Johnson on Wednesday took several shots at her former boss.

In response to a Mace team text saying "I don't want to see your junk in my bathroom," Johnson said, "I don’t want to see your botched, cheap hooker-inspired boob job on my television. Can we introduce a bill to bar that?"

Johnson also pointed out that, in 2021, Mace openly said she "strongly supports" LGBTQ rights and condemned discrimination against the group.

"If you think this bill is about protecting women and not simply a ploy to get on Fox News, you've been fooled," she said.

Johnson further responded to a report from a former prosecutor who said "Nancy Mace has now posted 262 times on X in the last 36 hours about the bathroom."

"Tweeting 262 times about a bill that applies to like .00000001% of Congress in 36 hours is definitely about protecting women. It’s certainly not just a ploy for media attention," Johnson said before setting her sights on Donald Trump's Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz.

"'Protecting women' in Congress would be introducing a bill to bar Matt Gaetz, a sexual predator with an affinity for underage girls, from ever walking those halls again, rather than dropping a messaging bill that’s sole goal is getting on TV," Johnson said, repeating unverified allegations against Gaetz, who hasn't been convicted or charged with any crimes related to those claims.

Johnson then concluded, "You guys, I live in Wyoming now. My f---- are zero."
