Fire reported at Topeka Goodyear tire plant

TOPEKA (KSNT) - 27 News is investigating reports of a fire at the Goodyear Plant in Topeka Thursday morning.

Dan Garrett with the City of Topeka told 27 News Soldier Township Fire was responding to reports of a fire at the Goodyear tire plant. Soldier Township Fire requested mutual aid from the Topeka Fire Department to deal with the situation.

27 News has reached out to Goodyear for a statement on the situation following reports of smoke coming from one of the plant's buildings and dispatched a reporter to the scene. More information will be added here as it becomes available.
