IPL released Dates for the next Three seasons: Know when will the League be held in 2025
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released dates for the next three seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in an unprecedented move. 2025 edition of IPL will begin March 14, with the final being on May 25. The 2026 season is going to be played between March 15 and May 31, whereas the 2027 edition will be held between March14 and May 30.
In an email which sent to franchises, accessed by ESPNcricinfo, the IPL termed the tournament dates as windows. However, there are high chances that these dates might end up being the final dates. The 2025 season will consist of 74 matches, which is the same as the previous seasons.
In the document for the new rights cycle, the IPL gave a list of numbers which differentiated each season. The numbers ranged from 74 games each in 2023 and 24, to 84 matches each in 2025 and 2026, up to a maximum of 94 games for the last year of the deal in 2027.
As a form of major boost t the franchises, oversea players have gotten approval from their respective boards to take part in the next three years in the IPL. However, this does not include Pakistan due to the political and security concerns between the government of boththe countries.
