New Delhi: Its nothing new when it comes to poor umpiring in Australia. Sparking a fresh debate on social media when KL Rahul given out by third umpire without any clear evidence whether the ball hit the bat or the bat hit the pad. There is a say called benefit f doubt goes to the batsman but it seems it only for the Aussies.
It was the second delivery of the 22nd over, KL Rahul was looking solid at the crease but things turned around when the Aussies start celebrating as soon as the ball passed the KL’s bat producing two noises and it went to the kipper Alex Carry. The on field umpire stood still and denied the appeal of caught behind. Australian captain Pat Cummins reviewed. There was an spike when the ball was close to the bat but it wasn’t conclusive whether it was bat or pad. The third umpire overturned the decision despite lack of front-on angel in combination with snicko.
Heard that Fox Cricket has installed 80 cameras but when needed, it could show only 2 camera angles.

The war started on social media when the fans showcased their disbelief, calling the decision shocking and biased. KL Rahul’s wicket left India in middle muddle at 51-4 at lunch on Day 1 of Perth Test Match.
The day started with India winning the toss and opting to bat first, soon the Aussies were on driver seat as they dismissed Jaiswal and Padikkal for duck. Virat Kohli’s forward approach also dint pay him well as the pitch offered pace, bounce, and movement. KL Rahul played well but an unfortunate decision forced him to walk out of the turf leaving India 51-4 at Tea on Day 1 of BGT 2024-25.
