Urgent search for schoolgirl, 11, last seen wearing uniform before going missing overnight in freezing cold temperatures

COPS have launched an urgent search for a schoolgirl who was last seen wearing uniform before going missing overnight.

Lamaya Mcleish, 11, is currently missing from the Gipton area of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Last night temperatures plummeted to -1°C in the outer-city suburb of Seacroft.

Lamaya is described as 5ft6 and of medium build with her hair up in a bun.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform, a blazer, black flare trousers and a blue Under Armour coat.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Any information or sightings, please ring 101 quoting log 1425.”

The force initially stated she was missing from the Gipton area.
