MARRIED At First Sight UK’s Emma Barnes and Nathan Campbell swerved an awkward question during an interview.
The MAFS duo joined BBC‘s David Garmston for a chat on regional Points West programme – covering the West of England.
Describing the pair as “beautiful people”, David asked about any romance possibility between them.
He queried: “Could you perhaps see something together for both of you?”
Amused, the reality stars laughed off such an idea, swerving the notion.
An incredulous Emma said: “Nathan and I?
“We are only down the road, but no, no. We’re like brothers and sisters.”
While Nathan quipped: “Slipped that one in there Dave, didn’t ya.”
After seeing the pair’s giggly reaction, David joked: “Don’t act as if it’s an amazing thought!”
Married At First Sight viewers saw 24-year-old Nathan marry 27-year-old Lacey Martin.
The couple later split after filming, but had still been together by the end of the experiment.
Our source told The Sun: “Nathan and Lacey really tried to make their relationship work in the real world but it just fizzled after a while.
“The final vows were filmed in February and they were still going strong in April when the reunion was shot, but since then they have called in quits.
“They were both sad it didn’t work out, but sadly it wasn’t meant to be.
“It’s also a big blow for fans who were really invested in their relationship.”
As for Emma, she tied the knot with gardener Caspar Todd on the E4 show.
Caspar didn’t hold back about his initial attraction – or lack of it – to Emma.
