Average construction cost for housing projects up 39% in 4 years on rising rates of building materials, labour: Colliers

Construction costs for housing projects in major Indian cities have risen sharply. The average cost per square foot is now Rs 2,780, a 39% increase over the past four years. Colliers India reports that labor costs are a major factor in this increase. Material costs have also risen, but at a slower pace.
