One thing we seem to agree on - today's selections/formation etc was a bloody mess and not only did it not look like working - it didn't work

Absolutely yeah. I didn't mind the team prior to kick off, but the roles Laird/WW played and the in game changes made it even messier. Ended with a back 4 of Paik, Klarer, Iwata and Cochrane. Mental.

Hard to argue with much of that.

I didn't like the look of the team before the game and so it proved.

Still, if it wasn't for Sunday League defending we'd have won the game comfortably. Shocking performance today, but I don't think we're a million miles off.

Tweaks to line up needed, bit more urgency and being a bit less predictable in the final third it'll all be fine.

Sensible comment. The big issue today really was our defending, we can make tweaks and improve dramatically in the final 3rd but we still scored 2 goals. You can't concede 3 and expect to win, that's the primary issue and our defending in general has been the big issue all season.
