Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) full players list in IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Base Price, Age, Country, IPL History

Sunrisers Hyderabad was founded in 2012 when Kalanithi Maran-owned Sun Group bought the franchise Deccan Chargers for Rs 85 crore per year for a 5-year deal. Under the new management, SRH have managed to win the IPL crown once in the IPL 2016 season with David Warner in charge.

Deccan Chargers had won their maiden IPL title in IPL 2009 season when the tournament was organised in South Africa. Since 2016, SRH have had a roller-coaster ride in the T20 league but IPL 2024 was one of their most successful seasons in recent years.

Under Australia’s ODI World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins, SRH managed to reach their third IPL final – losing to Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. SRH CEO Kaviya Maran has decided that the gains of 2024 are too good to forego and decided to retain five core members of the side for a whopping Rs 75 crore – the most by any of the 10 franchises ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

South African batter Heinrich Klaasen has been retained for Rs 23 crore – the highest among the retained players this year. Apart from Klaasen, Pat Cummins (Rs 18 crore), Abhishek Sharma (Rs 14 crore), Travis Head (Rs 14 crore) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (Rs 6 crore) have been retained. As a result, SRH will haven auction purse of Rs 45 crore.
