A series of video clips featuring a well-educated techie has broken several hearts on the internet. The man claimed that he was a former tech professional who worked at a leading tech company in Germany’s Frankfurt and later at a tech firm in Bengaluru. In a series of videos, the techie was seen begging on the streets of Jayanagar. The video immediately went viral on the internet, leaving people emotional. In the video clips, the man, who can be seen wearing a red T-shirt, narrates his story. According to him, he began abusing alcohol after the death of his parents, which spiralled out of control. The alcohol dependency left him homeless and reliant on begging for survival.

The video clips were shared on Instagram by a user named Sarath.

When Sarath asked the man about his qualifications, he responded, stating, “I am an engineer. I was working at Mindtree in Global Village. When I lost my parents I started boozing, sir.”

The man can be seen passionately speaking about meditation and philosophy, showcasing his knowledge.

Sarath first bumped into this man along the bustling JSS College Road in the heart of Jayanagar’s 8th Block, though rumours had it that the man had been spotted a couple of days earlier, perhaps a bit tipsy, in the 4th Block of Jayanagar.

Although Sarath earnestly attempted to lend a hand, the man persisted in his refusal. Sarath didn’t give up, reaching out to NGOs; however, he was told by one of the doctors that any intervention would necessitate police participation.

Towards the end, the man introspectively contemplated his existence, voicing, “Religion, caste, all those societal norms… observe the state I’ve reduced myself to. I need to immerse myself in more reading.”

In his Instagram story, Sarath said that he is searching for the person every day in Jayanagar’s surroundings and will meet the Bengaluru city commissioner and seek their help to trace the technician.
