People took to the comments section in their droves to rave about the tree, which featured a fake snow effect[/caption]

Posting in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, Lauren shared snaps of the tree listing on the Argos website, as well as how it looked set up in her home.

“I’m sure most people have seen this tree by now. But for those that haven’t,” she wrote.

“I just can’t get over how good it actually is!!”

The tree in question is the Habitat 7ft Snowy Christmas tree, which retails for £80 but is currently reduced to £60 for the Black Friday sales.

“This tree is so fluffy and full & absolutely massive,” Lauren continued.

“Takes a bit of time to fluff all the branches out and some ‘snow’ does coming away when doing so.

“However, it’s so worth it!

“And once it’s done it looks beautiful.”

The picture of the tree put up at her home showed it with a simple black bow on the top, and a wooden tree skirt covering the base.

And while she added that she “obviously still needs” to put her decorations on, others insisted the tree looked perfect as it was for an elegant, minimal Christmas.

The comments section was also filled with people weighing in on the tree, with some having purchased it themselves previously.

“We have this tree! For £60 it’s bloody gorgeous and so full!” one wrote.

“I have this tree, it’s lovely!” another added.

“I’ve got this tree it’s absolutely stunning and a bargain price,” a third commented.

“I brought this tree in the January sales last year for £37,” someone else raved.

“Does the snow come off a lot?” another asked.

How to look after your real Christmas tree

HERE'S what you need to know if you're buying a real Christmas tree:

First thing’s first: buy a pot (if it doesn’t come in one already).

You’ll need to treat your tree just like a houseplant and give it water and attention.

Make sure the container has good drainage – and it’s a good idea to put something underneath to catch the excess water.

Check the soil everyday to make sure it’s not drying out.

If it feels dry, give it some water. If it still feels moist, leave it alone as too much water can also kill a tree.

Also check the LED bulbs on your tree lights aren’t too hot as they could burn it, and keep your tree away from radiators.

When Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.

It’s a good idea to take it out of its pot when you do re-plant it though, as large trees don’t survive well in pots as their roots need space to grow.

“It’s lovely but with 5 cats not sure if it would drive me mad if the snow falls off easily!”

To which Lauren replied: “When your first put it up some does come off.

“However since then, nothing has fallen off as of yet. I’ve had it up a few days now.”

But someone else warned: “If you have a dog double check as the fake snow affect on most is toxic to dogs, not sure about cats.”

“Thank you, I have heard about this. But he’s never left unattended in the room,” Lauren replied.

As another said: “Be careful if you have cats as the snow is poison if they ingest it.”
