The battle to replace Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is underway. Taking the steps necessary to fill the vacated seat, a special primary election will be held on January 28, while the special election is set to occur on April Fool’s Day. In a growing field of interested candidates, John Frankman announced his interest in the seat on November 14.

Hosted by Owen Shroyer, the War Room recently welcomed the former Army Special Forces Green Beret to the show to discuss his candidacy for congressional office. In the 18-minute video, Frankman discussed his military service, his courage to make tough decisions and much more. And on November 20, while admitting it was uncommon, the conservative talk show host gave Frankman his “full endorsement to fill Matt Gaetz vacant seat.”

Frankman’s popularity doesn’t end there. Local residents are backing him for his courage and his promise to support President-elect Donald Trump.

The Gateway Pundit spoke to Jordan Karr, a nine-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served as an intelligence officer. Karr is also one of thousands of veterans whose careers abruptly ended for standing against the tyrannical enforcement of the unlawful 2021 COVID-19 shot mandate.

Since leaving the military, Karr has joined hundreds of other veterans, including Frankman, in the fight for accountability for the shot mandate, the embarrassing and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, and the destruction of the military at the hands of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training.

Karr and others simply want “the military back on track to being the most powerful lethal fighting force in the world,” she explained. Because they share the same mindset, Karr said she is pleased to see Frankman in the congressional race.

“I am a Florida District 1 voter, and I’ll be voting for John [Frankman],” she offered.

Her primary reason for supporting Frankman: “He’s not bought and paid for, and he’s more than willing to fight alongside the Trump administration on behalf of all Florida 1 voters and constituents.”

“Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was instrumental as a Florida representative in a lot of areas, including the military, and I trust John will be as equally successful…or even better than his predecessor because he’s personally been negatively impacted by federal bureaucracy,” she shared. “If I had to say one thing, I think John would be better at than most D.C. politicians, I really think he would be more receptive to the local people.”

In his Nov. 14 announcement on X, Frankman said, “[He is] running for Congress in Matt Gaetz’s seat to support President Trump and his agenda.”

When Karr read the statement, she wholeheartedly believed it because “John’s already been doing it.”

She explained, “He’s already been supporting Trump both locally and on social media, amplifying a message of why he thinks it’s important to back President Trump long before he ever considered running for Congress.”

For Karr, this marks a stark contrast to some of the other candidates who she dubbed “fake Trump supporters.” In a recent X post, she shared:

“The 2 state reps who are resigning their seat to run for Gaetz seat are claiming to be MAGA and help with Trump’s agenda. They are FAKE. Salzman brags about flipping Trump votes to DeSantis. Rudman claims DeSantis or die. These are NOT Trump advocates.”

“John Frankman has always stood by Trump, unlike these two state reps,” Karr pointed out. “A vote for one of these two—who were out there supporting [Gov. Ron] DeSantis for president in the last election—is a wasted vote.”

Interestingly, Karr also points out that another potential candidate may not even be a resident of Florida’s District 1. To that end, she notes Keithly Gross’ law office is in Panama City Beach, which falls into Florida’s 2nd congressional district. Where he resides is unknown.

If someone says they’re supporting Trump’s agenda, she encourages others to question: “Are they only supporting his agenda because they want his support for the upcoming election?” For her, “John Frankman is one of the only true MAGA candidates.”

The Gateway Pundit also spoke to David Trombly, an Escambia County resident, who will also be voting for Frankman. Trombly retired from the Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2019 after 25 years of service. Since earlier this year, he has been linked to Frankman through their efforts to “counter government overreach and seek accountability over the [now-rescinded] DOD shot mandate. They are working together to see the reinstatement of the more than 8,000 military members kicked out of the Armed Forces for not taking the COVID-19 shot, while also advocating for the proper care of all the vaccine-injured military members.

For Trombly, “John Frankman demonstrated a moral courage as a junior officer that’s needed not only in today’s military but also in the halls of Congress.” He argued, “The top levels of the United States military and the long-entrenched congressional and senatorial members are part of today’s problem.”

And for this reason, he said, “We need young blood, someone like John Frankman that’s proven himself as an Army Captain protecting the soldiers under his command when the Colonels and Generals of today’s military folded protecting their careers and pensions rather than their people.”

Trombly explained, “John Frankman demonstrated his mettle by standing against the military’s senior leadership, saying no to an illegal order that forced a non-FDA-approved vaccine on its members, and the Army rewarded his leadership by pulling his deployment orders and preventing his career advancement, resulting in his career being cut short.” For Trombly, “To stand against that, it takes courage, and it’s the same kind of courage that’s needed in Congress.”

“I have no doubt in my mind that John Frankman would support President Trump’s agenda to reinstate these military members with back pay,” he noted. “And while there are many candidates that may be better-known in our community, that doesn’t mean they are best suited or best qualified to represent our district at this time.”

“John may have an uphill battle against name recognition as a newcomer, but he is a proven leader and eminently qualified to represent us in my opinion,” Trombly argues. According to him, “Florida 1 voters need to vote for someone with a track record of moral courage and faith-driven uncompromising resolve because that’s what this nation needs most right now.”
