Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) full players list and likely Playing 11 after IPL 2025 Mega Auction
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be pleased by their shopping haul from the IPL 2025 Mega Auction which ended in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The Bengaluru-based franchise spent Rs 82.25 crore at the two-day auction to win buy 19 players.
Ahead of the auction, they had retained former captain Virat Kohli for Rs 21 crore, batter Rajat Patidar for Rs 11 crore and bowler Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore. Out of a total squad of 22, the RCB have 14 Indian players and 8 overseas.
Their most expensive buys on the two days of the auction turned out to be pace bowlers. On Sunday, RCB bought back Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood to the side for Rs 12.5 crore while on Monday, they managed to get veteran Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for Rs 10.75 crore.
“It was really great to get Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) today, that level of skill, along with Krunal’s (Pandya) level of skill, will complement Hazlewood coming back to RCB. It’d be great to have him back at back at the club,” RCB head coach Andy Flower said.
“Yash Dayal, we saw what he did last year and we’ve got a Rasikh salam, vying for a place as well. So that sort of skill, I think, is a skill in the bowling department is what you need at Chinnaswamy. So, to have that level of skill, secured is a good feeling for us. Well, we got a lot of our first options, actually. So, we’re really happy with where we stand at the moment,” Flower added.
