War widow launched ‘relentless’ drunken attack on 2nd husband ‘scratching, biting and kicking’ him at £1.5m mansion

A WAR widow who campaigned for military family rights launched a “relentless” attack on her husband while drunk on gin.

Christina Plumb, 49 — whose first husband Olaf “Oz” Schmid was killed in Afghanistan — scratched, bit and kicked property developer Adam in a 20-minute row.

Plumb received her late husband’s George Cross after he was killed defusing a bomb in 2009.

She then campaigned for rights for service personnel’s families.

But she was found guilty at Newton Abbot magistrates’ court yesterday on two counts of beating.

Mr Plumb said he was in bed at their home in Ugborough, Devon, when his wife began “grabbing and kicking” him.

He hid in a walk-in wardrobe, but the attack continued.

Mr Plumb said of the September 2023 ordeal: “She was full of rage, scratching, kicking out.

“I could not get her off.”

Cops who attended said she was “hysterical and ranting”.

Judge Stuart Smith said her claims she was attacked first were “inherently improbable”.

Plumb will be sentenced next month.
