Mum-of-four Coleen Rooney praised for being ‘so relatable’ after sharing how she deals with sons when they’re naughty
COLEEN Rooney has been praised for being “so relatable” after opening up about her approach to parenting.
The WAG shares four sons with husband Wayne – Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.
But she’s left to do a lot of the leg work herself, as Wayne lives 260 miles from the family’s Cheshire home as he’s currently residing in Salacombe while working as head coach of Plymouth Argyle.
And Coleen told Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast that being a mum has become harder with the more children she’s had.
“When you have one, you know, I had time to do go out on these days out,” she sighed.
“And, you know, I try and do a lot.
“Especially with Wayne being away, I do a lot on my own.”
She added that people often ask her how she copes with the four boys without Wayne to hand, as she continued: “You just get on with it and you manage it no matter what.
“I can look at the diary at the beginning of the week and think, oh, how am I going to cope with this?
“But I know I’m going to do it!”
Coleen also spoke about how she deals with her kids when they’re naughty, as she recalled an incident when Kai got in trouble for making a prank call to another child at school.
After coming home and saying that the other child’s parents were going to come into the school, Coleen had some sage advice for Kai.
“I was like, ‘well, do you think he should have done that?'” she said.
“He said, ‘No. I said, well, there you go.
“‘In the morning, you go straight into school, you tell the teacher and whatever happens then, you deal with.
“‘But she will appreciate you more for going in and owning up before the parents come.'”
She told Kai that otherwise he’d be “sitting there all day, anxious, waiting for that call to come out of the classroom”.
And when Kai did that, the teacher later told him she was “really impressed” with how he’d dealt with the situation.

She’s usually preened and perfect – but the WAG has confessed she snores.
Coleen said: “I didn’t think I snored, but Wayne says I snore.
“Not continuously though – just every now and again.
“I have been in the public eye for over 20 years now and people take what they want from it.
“I do think people will get a better idea of what kind of person I am.”
After speaking about her life as a parent, other mums and dads took to the comments section on the TikTok video shared of the podcast interview to praise Coleen.
“She does not miss a trick this woman,” one wrote.
