Andy Cohen Is ‘Tempted’ by His Son Ben’s Sweet Before-School Request in a New Video & It’s the Cutest Thing Ever

Andy Cohen is used to his son Ben’s wild ideas. (Reese’s for breakfast? Iconic!) But the 5-year-old’s latest request truly blew him away. The Bravo TV host shares a new video of Ben’s sweet wish before school this week, and he admitted he’s “tempted” to go along with it.

With the camera turned to selfie mode in a video shared to Instagram this week, Cohen asks Ben, “What do you want to do on a walk to school today?”

“Do you hug me the whole way?” Ben says off-camera.

“You want me to hug you the whole way to school today?” Cohen clarifies, as if he can’t quite believe his luck. A child wanting that much snuggle time?! A dream!

Ben assures him that he does want that, and Cohen asks, “How would that work?”

“You just have to carry me by hugging me, hugging me, hugging me,” Ben says, continually repeating “hugging me,” then adding, “Like a million.” How sweet is that?

“I’m tempted,” Cohen responds. “I’m very tempted I have to say.”

“Like a million hugs,” Ben continues, laying on the charm.

“Is this a plot for you to get me to carry you the whole way to school or you just want me to hug you the whole way to school?” Cohen tries to clarify.

Ben responds, “Just want to hug me the way to school.” He adds, “Carry me and hug me. The same thing.”

“OK. I might do it,” Cohen says.

That settled, Ben decides to go greet his little sister Lucy, 2. “Go say good morning to Lucy, and then I’ll hug you on the way to school,” Cohen says. “Good morning.” OK Ben, this might be the cutest request we’ve ever heard!

People were telling Cohen to stop questioning it and just embrace it (literally!). Sarah Jessica Parker commented, “Come on! Give it. Do it. Don’t ask questions or clarity!! Xxx” Jenna Bush Hager commented, “This is the sweetest ❤️”

“Aww Andy do it …. Cuz there’s gonna come a time when you can’t and you’ll so miss it ❤️,” someone else wrote. Another person said, “Oh my heart ???? Ben is not allowed to get even a day older than he is right now ????”

In a September interview on the Fail Better podcast, the Watch What Happens Live star opened up about his fears as a single parent. “I told you earlier that I wasn’t someone that had a lot of self-doubt,” he told host David Duchovny. “But, I mean, this will do it to you — being a parent. You start to question everything, especially as a single parent.”

He’ll spend time ruminating over questions, which any parent can relate to. “Everything from ‘What kind of world am I bringing my child into’ to ‘what’s gonna happen to us?’ ‘What happens if something happens to me?’ ‘Are they gonna be okay?’” Cohen said.

Self-doubt and worries are part of the package in parenting, but moments like these morning hug requests from Ben prove Cohen is doing a fantastic job.
