'Get over it': Democrat pushes back on GOP strategist on CNN over 2020 election claim
Democratic and Republican commentators clashed on CNN Wednesday when they were debating people who spread 2020 election conspiracies joining Donald Trump's administration in the White House.
Republican political consultant Shermichael Singleton dismissed concerns that those who participated in the fake-electors plot could be dangerous to the American government.
"I mean, are you worried about some of the people who are coming into some very important roles in the new Trump administration?" CNN host Jim Acosta asked Singleton.

"No. No, I'm not," Singleton promised, explaining that elections have consequences. "When you win elections, you have an obligation to choose who you want."
However, he then suggested that no one cared about the attempt to overthrow the election anymore.
"I mean, no one's thinking about what happened four years ago where people are thinking about the president and they're thinking about the future, and when you win the election, just like when Joe Biden won, Joe Biden was able to choose whoever the heck he wanted. I didn't like all of the people. Many Republicans didn't like all of the people Donald Trump has."
Instead, Singleton delivered the advice, "to get over it, just as we had to get over it nearly four years ago when we lost the election."
Democratic strategist Maria Cardona stepped in, saying that Trump intends to go back four years ago to relitigate the 2020 election and punish people he thinks slighted him.
"Donald Trump himself has said that part of his goal is to go into the DOJ and to all of these agencies and relook at what happened in the 2020 election," said Cardona.
"Elections have consequences, Maria," Singleton shouted over her.
"So, 'we can get over it?' No. No, we can get over it," she shot back. "But you need to tell your president-elect our president-elect — your guy to get over it as well."
Acosta stepped in, "Yeah, he hasn't really gotten over it, has he?"
"No, he has not," said Cardona. "That's the problem! And he's making everyone suffer for it."
Singleton insisted his GOP friends are "over it."
