Regal Cinemas Debuts $30 'Nosferatu' Novelty Popcorn Bucket
Robert Eggers' remake of Nosferatu hits theaters on Christmas Day, and because what moviegoing experience would be complete without spending a small fortune at the concessions stand, Regal Cinemas has revealed its latest collectible novelty popcorn bucket in connection with the film.
The Nosferatu popcorn bucket is, not wholly surprisingly, in the shape of an ornate sarcophagus, much like the one the vampire Count Orlok slumbers in. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the popcorn sarcophagus will set audiences back $30.99 with a large popcorn, or you can also purchase it sans popcorn for $25.99. The Nosferatu box will go on sale one week in advance of the film's release on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
"Sink your teeth into the ultimate collectible," Regal posted to social media, unveiling the spooky popcorn holder. "Well, that's certainly one way to keep your popcorn secure," one user quipped.

Movie theater chains have increasingly attempted to outdo one another in coming up with novelty popcorn buckets since AMC Theaters started the trend in 2019 with a $49.99 R2-D2 popcorn and drink holder for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In early 2024, the company released a Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket that went viral for all the wrong reasons, and later admitted it went too far. Yet, that didn't stop AMC from releasing an equally eyebrow-raising Deadpool & Wolverine version.
Nosferatu, a reimagining of the 1922 German film of the same name, stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. You can watch the trailer below.
