OKC Zoo hosts magical overnight experience Dec. 13

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Zoo is hosting a magical zoo overnight experience for anyone seeking to explore a winter wonderland with your favorite animals.

Zoo officials say guests will get an opportunity to immerse in a winter wonderland of lights while learning about the Zoo's cold-weather animals and becoming secret Zoo elves by creating special enrichment presents for the animals.

The overnight experience will feature a plaza light show, interactive light displays, photo-ops, and all new lanterns.

Details:

6:30 - 6:45 PM: Arrival

6:45 - 7:15 PM: Learn about the Zoo's cold weather animals and enrichment

7:45 - 8:00 PM: Create enrichment

8:00 - 8:15 PM: Bathroom break/prepare for night hike

8:15 - 9:30 PM: Walk through lights/night hike

9:30 - 9:45: Break/hot cocoa/snack

9:45 PM: Movie and bed

AM Timeline:

6:45 AM: Wakeup call

7:00 - 7:30 AM: Breakfast and load cars

7:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Animal visitors

8:00 AM: Morning hike

8:30 AM: Give out enrichment

8:45 AM: End of event
