Daughter remembers pilot killed in Windham plane crash
WINDHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Loved ones are remembering the pilot who was killed in a plane crash in the Catskills over the weekend. Seuk Kim's daughter, Leah, remembered her father for his kindness and generosity.
Leah said her father did not start pursuing a pilot license until he was in his forties. When he came across Pilots and Paws, a program that flies animals out of high kill shelters, he combined his passion for flying with his love of animals and found a way to make a difference.
"His legacy is for people to live their lives with joy, to lead them with their best feet forward, and to enjoy the simple pleasures," Leah said. "For him, that was flying, that was animals, dogs, cats. For other people, it could be golf, sports, Star Wars -- all of these little things that he enjoyed that he wanted to share."
Two of the three dogs that were on board the plane survived. One of the dogs already has a foster home lined up. The other is being treated at a vet clinic in Connecticut.
